The name "Speckled Hen" represents a value for diversity and embracing our differences. The Dagens wanted to create a space where all would be welcome to grow in community and in appreciation for great coffees and foods. At the Speckled Hen, we believe that the unique attributes or "speckles" we possess is what makes community so rich and beautiful. We love providing a space for friends, neighbors, and strangers to meet, learn, and grow. It is our belief that when we embrace our differences an even more beautiful type of community can be discovered and enjoyed!

The term “bespoke” is used to describe custom-made goods and products. We chose this as our name to represent our focus of being a small-batch, hand crafted brewery. We are so excited for you to enjoy our signature recipes that we are tailoring as well as our unique seasonal beers, which will rotate throughout the year.

The name Agapē comes from an ancient Greek word often used when describing Christ’s love for mankind. It is the highest form of unselfish love for another. It is our desire to provide an atmosphere where the love of Christ is felt by each person that walks through our doors.

Founded by local couple Isaac and Megan Witt, the coffeehouse offers expertly crafted espresso drinks, lattes, cold brews, matcha, and seasonal specialties made with homemade syrups, alongside fresh pastries, muffins, danishes, and locally sourced cinnamon rolls from nearby bakers. Guests can relax among cozy thrift-furnished seating, browse shelves of books, or enjoy the café’s most distinctive feature: the restored bank vault transformed into a unique private dining and meeting space. With its welcoming community atmosphere, convenient drive-thru, and thoughtfully curated menu, Wittness Coffeehouse is a must-visit stop for travelers exploring the heart of Strasburg.

Katie's Amish Kitchen sits along Hartman Bridge Road near Strasburg, surrounded by Amish farms. The place has gotten busier over the years. The cooking hasn't changed.

Every morning the kitchen starts early. Bread dough rises before dawn. Pies go in the oven while the coffee brews. The chicken corn soup gets pulled chicken, not canned. The beef vegetable soup uses stock that's been going since the day before.

The recipes are Pennsylvania Dutch: scrapple, chow chow, shoofly pie, chicken pot pie with wide egg noodles. These aren't menu novelties for tourists. They're what people in Lancaster County eat at home.
